Every year, I struggle with last minute gift ideas for my family for Christmas. It's not because I leave it to the last minute. It's not because the busyness of the season has robbed me of opportunities to spend time on gift-giving, although those last weeks before Christmas are frenetic with activities and events.
But, I really want to find something for my children and grandchildren that is meaningful, something that will linger in their memories and last longer than a fleeting enjoyment on Christmas Day.
So... I'm starting early, this year.... and I'm going to create a printed photo book for each family of our fun and activities throughout the year- a printed legacy of family memories.
I'll design each page and fill them with photos of our family fun: birthday fun, sports highlights, special events, holidays, pets and so much more. Then I'll submit the pages to BigW or another photo processing site to turn them into special hardcover photobooks.
And I'm using FotoJet to help me create photo collages that ooze personality and fun. Canva is another option that you might like to check out.
Take a look below at some of the photo creations I've made in minutes withFotoJet.
The most difficult task is choosing a template. There are over 460 so you'll find plenty of options- classic, 3D, holiday, art, creative. There are designs for single images as well as multi- photo collage layouts.
Create photocards for birthdays, Mother's & Father's Day, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving and more using the online templates.
And, the fun doesn't stop there. You can also use FotoJet to create your social media graphics or covers. You can even use your photos to create a comic page, fun page or magazine cover design.
Use the online editing features within FotoJet to add filters, alter exposure, brightness, contrast and zoom. You'll discover that your images can be flipped, you can add captions and include notes and highlights of your events.
Then download your creation or share online. I think you'll really enjoy this program and, like me, find yourself using in more and more frequently.
Maybe this Christmas photobook idea will become another Christmas family tradition. (Now... I just hope my kids don't read this post or they'll know what to expect for Christmas!)
Life as a grandma.. it's no 'quiet, restful days in the rocking-chair'. It's filled with activity, excitement and lots of family fun. Please share it with me.
