I think the first thing everyone adds to their New Year resolutions is health and fitness related; you know, go to the gym regularly- get fit- eat more veggies- start the day with a proper breakfast- take a daily walk.
And, I'm not judging; these are are important and worthwhile goals. I've set those myself and I'm sure that you have, too. I must admit, I do begin the day with a walk. My dog makes sure that I do and I think it's really helpful to have a walking partner (even if it's your dog.)
But I also know from experience just how hard it is to stick with these goals. It's so easy to be sidetracked by the busyness of life and the difficulties of finding healthy meal options that are also quick and easy to prepare.. and taste good. And that's especially important when it comes to your kids. If they don't like it, they sure won't eat it. And it doesn't matter how healthy it is for them. In fact, if you mention that it's healthy, they definitely won't it it!
