Well, it’s certainly starting to feel like Christmas isn’t it? Head into the malls and they’ve got the music playing. The crackers, wrapping paper and toys are all on sale. The deals have begun, and the truth is we’re only just getting started. I bet there are people who haven’t even started their Christmas shopping yet. That’s where I’m going to help. In this post you’re going to find some great ways to save money this Christmas and make shopping for gifts so much easier.
Grab The Deals While You Can
You might have missed Black Friday last week but that doesn’t mean you’ve missed all the deals. Black Friday was extended this year and ran all over the weekend and I’m sure you got some great items on offer in the stores. But now it’s time for Cyber Monday. Despite the name this usually starts the Monday after Black Friday and runs all week. You’ll find some awesome deals at all your favourite stores and you’re sure to find great gifts for the whole family. This includes everything from furniture and accessories to toys and technology. Really, Black Friday has just become the opening act of the sales.
I don’t know about you but I love finding deals and I constantly search online for them. There are great coupons and vouchers that will give you massive savings on the run up to Christmas. Discontrue currently has some great vouchers for Sears. You can buy patio furniture at low prices that will make a great Christmas gift they can use when spring rolls around. Or, perhaps you just want to treat yourself!
Buying For Kids?
As a grandparent, I must confess I spend most of my Christmas shopping looking for gifts for the grandchildren. I think one of the biggest parts of buying for kids is knowing what they’re going to want. For instance this year the new Star Wars movie is releasing just before Christmas. With it, Disney has released a whole slew of merch just in time for Christmas. A popular item with the boys is sure to be the BB8 droid that operates by itself or can be remotely controlled. You’ll certainly be a popular one if you buy your grandchild that for Christmas.
Regular readers of my blog will know how much I love being creative and learning new skills and crafts. When I do, I try to pass on my learnings to my readers. This year, I might try my hand at some homemade Christmas decorations. I’m sure they’ll prove popular with the people I usually buy presents for, and they’ll make an excellent, personal gift. I’ve been looking at other blogs to get some ideas.
Finally, don’t forget it you are buying yourself a few well earned gifts it’s best to wait until after Christmas. The deals start on boxing day and run well into the new year. You’ll find some great deals on all the must-have holiday items that are suddenly far more affordable.
