Try this Macaron Bliss Dessert![]()
This season on Master Chef has been brilliant! Do you watch it? I can't believe the incredible dishes prepared by these amateur chefs. And, their plating up techniques are just beautiful.
Master Chef has certainly inspired my son and my son-in-law, both of whom are avid home chefs. But this adds a degree of pressure when I'm the one cooking for any of my family. Fortunately, my grandson regularly declares that "Nan's potato bake is the best!" So I feel safe serving potato bake.
But what about dessert? Master Chef desserts are quite elaborate and I just don't have the time - or skill.
This Macaron Bliss dessert is so simple. And it must taste okay. My grandkids have popped in to ask if I have any extras in the freezer. Sadly... no.

Instructions
*Pour yoghurt into a shallow, lined tray and pop in the freezer. (The yoghurt should be about 1.5cm thick.) *Use a knife to slip between the macaron halves to separate. *Crush some freeze-dried strawberries to a fine powder. Keep a few aside for decoration. *Remove the yoghurt from the freezer. Allow to soften slightly. Using a circle cutter of similar size to your macaron halves, cut out yoghurt rounds. (My circles of yoghurt were 5cm diameter.)
*Sandwich the yoghurt circles between 2 macaron halves.
Optional: Roll the edge of yoghurt in the powdered strawberries. *Pop the completed Macaron Bliss desserts on a clean tray and back into the freezer until required. Serve with a few pieces of dried strawberry. Try them... I'm sure you'll enjoy them. And, they are so easy! Here it is in summary: |
